Johanna Aronov on how CareFlow automates scheduling, results, and follow-up so high-risk breast health patients are never lost in the cracks.
In this conversation, Johanna shares:

Johanna Aronov walks through the full conversation.
As Johanna Aronov describes from her own experience as a patient, breast health screening often means waiting a week or two for an appointment, filling out stacks of forms on arrival, and then waiting again for a letter in the mail with results.
For a patient who suspects something is wrong, those waiting periods are stressful and anxious.
Behind the scenes, centers manage reminders, postcards, and Excel spreadsheets by hand, and with today’s staffing shortages, patients can fall through the cracks when lists are not updated on time.
In this episode of Keeping Up With AbbaDox, Product Owner Johanna Aronov joins host Pierre-Antoine Tricen to walk through an integrated breast health module where scheduling, results, risk tracking, and follow-up all live in one system.
Because everything is integrated, orders can create a pending appointment automatically, patients complete forms and prep before arriving, and results post to the patient portal the moment the radiologist signs, so no one has to print letters one by one.
And that is the reason why this project in breast health as a product owner, it means a lot to me.
Product Owner at AbbaDox.
“If you are having a suspicion that something is going on, these times could be very stressing and very anxious for a person.”
That is the case for automating breast health follow-up: the waiting is the harm. Results post to the portal the moment the radiologist reads them, AI classifies risk from the report itself, and high-risk patients get their referral letter generated on the spot rather than waiting on a navigator with a spreadsheet. Johanna reports clients calling it a tremendous change in the way they used to work.
The module is built around fast turnaround for the patients who need it most.

The organization can increase study volume and accelerate care pathways without adding administrative staff.
One client that sees about 4,500 patients a month, roughly 150 cases a day, sends more than 4,000 communications automatically instead of writing postcards and letters by hand.
Depending on radiologist availability, patients can have results the same day, or within two to three days, back to both patient and referring doctor.
With reminders, letters, and reporting automated, staff no longer sit filling postcards one by one and high-risk patients get more attention.
A strong read system and better scheduling let facilities use their rooms more efficiently, so admin is no longer the bottleneck.
Automation removes the manual work that used to sit between a study and the patient’s next step.
