Three months quoted. Live in five days.

By Friday of that week, we had a full RIS stood up, functioning, scheduling patients, integrated with PACS. So by Friday at noon, we had a radiologist reading a CT on an iPad.

What CareFlow replaces, and what it connects to

Hospitals & Multi-Specialty

Your EHR stays the system of record. CareFlow runs the radiology workflow around it.

Replaces

  • Your radiology RIS
  • Separate scheduling and reminder tools
  • Separate intake, check-in and eligibility tools

Connects to, and does not replace

  • Your PACS
  • Your EHR, over HL7 and FHIR. Epic and Cerner are live.
  • Billing and RCM
  • Dictation such as Nuance. AbbaDox's own dictation is optional.

Where Ora fits

The AI runs inside CareFlow. It does not read images or make clinical decisions.

FAQ

Hospitals & Multi-Specialty

  • No. AbbaDox CareFlow layers onto your EHR rather than replacing it, so there is no rip and replace. Your EHR stays the system of record, and CareFlow handles the radiology workflow around it: scheduling, patient access and reporting. It exchanges data with the EHR over HL7 and FHIR, so the two stay in sync.

  • AbbaDox has run radiology operations in the cloud since 2003 and does nothing else. Its largest customers run 30 or more locations on the same platform, Capitol Imaging among them at 60+, and they stay: CDI for more than 20 years, Desert Imaging for over ten. Epic and Cerner integrations are live over HL7 and FHIR.

  • It depends on scope. Most implementations take 4 to 12 months, run through weekly workflow meetings with your team. It can be much faster: at Sky Lakes Medical Center, CareFlow had a full RIS scheduling patients and integrated with PACS within the first week, with a radiologist reading a CT on an iPad by Friday noon.

  • No. When end-to-end testing at Lake Medical Imaging turned up problems, AbbaDox moved the date. Their past president: “You were willing to make a delay in implementation when we found some problems during end-to-end testing, which was the right thing to do rather than just push forward.”

  • Integration oversight and user access management. CareFlow is cloud-native, so there is no infrastructure to provision, and AbbaDox handles configuration, training and optimization, with a dedicated implementation team and customer success manager from day one.

  • Pricing is scoped to your sites and volume, and the first call covers it.
