Health Fidelity, a healthcare big data company and technology leader in clinical natural language processing (NLP), today announced that Integrated Document Solutions (IDS) has just added REVEAL to its product line to improve reporting processes, automate Meaningful Use reporting for their certified EHR and expand capabilities related to revenue cycle management, including NLP-based automated coding to ICD-9, ICD-10, and SNOMED

IDS provides healthcare solutions and services that enable healthcare organizations to automate the creation, distribution and management of documentation and patient information.  The company plans to initially deploy REVEAL through automatic extraction of ICD-9 coding for medical billing.  Over time, IDS plans expansion of REVEAL-based unstructured data offerings, including ICD-10 compliance and analytics.

“With their experience with NLP, Health Fidelity was a logical choice,” said Yaniv Dagan, CEO of IDS.  “By incorporating REVEAL into our AbbaDox ecosystem, we add world class natural language processing and data extraction capabilities to our application suite. This partnership frees us to focus more resources on our customers rather than data extraction and mapping.”

Health Fidelity is the industry leader in clinical NLP technologies.  The REVEAL service incorporates the longest-standing technology, the most peer reviewed literature, the most objective proof of accuracy, the highest flexibility in use and many of the earliest patented innovations in clinical NLP.  The technology is able to understand medical narratives in their most complex and specialized forms and break out critical content to make it available.

“Health Fidelity focuses on high value solution partners that are experts in their space and understand how to leverage best-of-breed technologies,” said Dan Riskin, M.D., CEO of Health Fidelity.  “With REVEAL capabilities, IDS will be able to combine their expertise and applications with robust coding abilities to reduce customer expenses, improve hospital revenues, and automate functions that are currently manually driven.  Our cloud-based solution is perfectly aligned with IDS’ streamlined workflow. We are excited to support them in these efforts.”
