This year was certainly unprecedented for every individual and every company around the globe. The effects of the COVID-19 pandemic sent shockwaves around the world. Life as we knew it came to an abrupt stop, and many organizations were forced to pivot or even pause their operations.
Through the strength of our highly flexible, cloud-based RIS platform, AbbaDox helped expand the operations at many diagnostic centers, giving our clients mission critical tools for business continuity. Among these tools, we developed a COVID Toolkit to guide clients through this challenging year, and ensure they were using each element of our technology to its fullest extent. Radiology practice managers and administrative staff were grateful to be able to operate completely remotely without any technical hurdles or operational interruptions. This allowed them to maintain their operations levels without downtime and feel much more comfortable knowing they were keeping their staff and patients safe.
Innovation continued throughout 2020 at AbbaDox. Through new products and services like bi-directional text messaging and digital check-in processes, AbbaDox helped practices enhance their operational efficiency and better connect with patients by accelerating the adoption of patient engagement solutions. Patients now prefer to interact with their practices in a safer and more personalized way. Our solutions allowed imaging centers to further enrich and custom-tailor communications with their patients, ultimately increasing the use of pre-registration, automated scheduling, e-forms, online payments, and patient portal tools. Patients felt comfortable keeping appointments as crowded patient waiting rooms transitioned outside to the organized comfort of patient vehicles. This gave clinical staff the necessary time to properly sanitize and prep before a new patient entered, leading to more satisfied patients and elevated interactions. In addition, AbbaDox provided clinics with enhanced real-time data analytics capabilities to better evaluate patient engagement adoption and manage workforce demands for their practices during these uncertain times.
